Terms of Service
Last updated: May 28, 2026
These terms govern your use of the TakeOff Rentals website and any vehicle you rent from TakeOff Rentals LLC. By booking a reservation, you agree to these terms and the rental agreement signed at pickup.
Eligibility
- Minimum age 25 with a valid driver's license held for at least 2 years.
- Drivers 21–24 may rent select vehicles with a young-driver surcharge.
- Valid government-issued photo ID and a major credit or debit card in the renter's name.
- Clean driving record subject to a basic motor-vehicle-record check.
- International renters must present a valid passport and license valid in their home country.
Authorized drivers
Only individuals listed on the rental agreement may operate the vehicle. Additional drivers must be present at pickup with their license and may be subject to a small additional-driver fee. Allowing an unauthorized person to drive voids coverage.
Prohibited uses
- Operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any impairing substance.
- Racing, off-road use, or driving on unpaved surfaces not maintained for passenger vehicles.
- Towing or pushing another vehicle.
- Transporting hazardous materials or anything illegal.
- Smoking or vaping inside the vehicle (cleaning fee applies).
- Using the vehicle for commercial ride-sharing or delivery without prior written approval.
- Driving outside the continental United States without prior written approval.
Renter responsibilities
- Return the vehicle in the same condition it was provided, with the same fuel level.
- Pay all tolls, parking citations, traffic tickets, and administrative fees incurred during the rental.
- Report any damage, accident, or mechanical issue promptly.
- Reimburse TakeOff for damage, loss of use, and reasonable repair costs not covered by insurance.
Fuel
Vehicles are provided full and must be returned full. If returned below the pickup fuel level, the difference is refueled at $9/gallon plus a service fee.
Late returns
A 30-minute grace period is provided. Beyond that, a late fee equal to one hour of the daily rate is charged per hour, up to a full day. After 4 hours late without notification, the vehicle is reported as overdue.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TakeOff is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of the website, the rental, or any service interruption. Our total liability for any claim related to the rental is limited to amounts you paid for the affected reservation.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold TakeOff harmless from claims, losses, and expenses arising from your use of the vehicle, violation of these terms, or violation of any law or third-party right.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Greenville County, South Carolina.
Severability
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms at any time. The version posted on this page at the time of your booking governs that reservation.
